Eva Moskowitz: Giving New York The Gift Of Good Schools

Eva Moskowitz is a woman who stands for improving the education system in the country. She is known to be one of the forefront people to the school charter movement, which was for bringing together more privately owned schools, which are dedicated to offering a highly high level of education.

The campaign had brought to light all the drawbacks of the current public education system and showed the comparison with the existing private schools and the children passing out of them. Eva Moskowitz has always held that education is one of the main factors that contribute to the development of a country, and is trying to do her bit to contribute to that growth. Eva is an entrepreneur and business woman who has used her passion to make a name for herself. She is the founder of the Success Academy of Charter Schools. This is one of the largest chains of schools in America. Most of the schools that Eva Moskowitz founded are located in and around New York City. Eva Moskowitz’s goal is to be able to give children all over New York access to a highly high quality of education, which can help them immensely as they grow up.

Eva Moskowitz’s first school was opened to students in 2006, and since then, the chain has grown massively. The first school under the Success Academy of Charter Schools was the Harlem Success Academy in New York. What urged her to go on and open up more schools in New York was the feedback that she got from parents of the children in the schools. New York is the commercial capital of the country, but when it comes to schools, New York isn’t the best place, or wasn’t until Eva Moskowitz came into the picture. People coming to live there were coming for everything that the city had to offer but had to settle regarding the schools that they send their children to. By setting up schools that offered some of the highest levels of education, Eva Moskowitz gave New York city the one thing that they lacked in.
